Clash of the Titans
All Media posted Thursday January 4, 2018.
After breaking for Christmas the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Series returns to Timmis Speedway this Saturday night 6thJanuary and with another good car count of 23 cars teams are prepping to battle the heat and kick off their 2018 season.
With teams travelling from Adelaide, Melbourne and surrounding areas Mildura is half way for all our teams and like a home base to them. “One thing we can always guarantee at Mildura is plenty of hard and fast action and this Saturday will be exactly the same. Our teams always race hard and they all love the venue” Searle says.
Mark Caruso’s SA33 has a one point lead on Championship points over defending Series champ Chris Solomon. Solomon is driving the family owned FMG V83. Caruso is also a past Series Champ and the duo will put on some great racing. Currently sitting in third in the Series is Paul Solomon just 35 points behind his younger brother who will also be looking at locking in another A Main win for the season.
Jarman Dalitz’s SA95 has been showing improvement this season and with guru spanner man Tony Bartlett occasionally helping the team will continue to do so.
Young gun Brayden Parr makes a return to the Series for the first time this season. Parr is driving for the Skidmore - Parr Racing V77 and is always exciting to watch. Parr has been racing 410’s all season and its fantastic to have him return to the Series. Hard charging SA77 Dan Evans, SA96 Brendan Guerin, V34 Brenten Farrer, SA69 Cody Atkins, all have their own goals for this Saturday.
Then we have the under 20’s talent of VA15 Corey Lincoln, SA16 Jack Gartner, SA32 Ben Gartner, VA55 Georgia McLeod, SA98 Cheian Perrett trying to beat the “oldies” or “veterans” for want of a better word - V4 Lock, NS38 Forrell, V11 Foster just to name a few.
With the forecast of hot weather in Mildura on Saturday there will be a later than normal start at 7.00pm. Time Trials have been cancelled in an attempt to look after all the teams and the race track. Come along and be part of the family friendly action. Timmis Speedway, 3342 Deakin Ave, Mildura.
Teams on track at Timmis Speedway earlier this season.
