The Cyclone is back in action
All Stars Media posted Monday February 19, 2018.

In front of a packed house at Sunline Speedway Paul ‘Cyclone’ Solomon took out his second feature win for the season.

Solomon’s V7 kicked off RD9 of the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Series winning the Oval Express Magazine Quick Time Award then backed it up winning his Heat and the Vortex Pole Shoot Out and finishing the night off with the A Main victory. Solomon was dominate and led the 30 laps flag to flag
SA69 Cody Atkins who qualified as high points lined up beside Paul Solomon on the front row of the main, SA96 Guerin and V29 Tancredi lined up on the second row.

The race didn’t get away smoothly with Guerin and Tancredi tangling on the first lap. Unfortunately Tancredi had to sit the race out on the infield, Guerin changed a tire and restarted from the rear. As a result SA95 Jarman Dalitz and the travelling West Australian WA30 Jamie Landrigan moved up a row as they lined up for the restart..

Atkins was fast on the tail of Solomon in second until front end failure sent him into the wall in Turn 2 three quarter way thru. Dalitz and Lovegrove were then running second and third with Landrigan fourth. With only a few laps left Dalitz spun in turn 4 but managed to keep going and recoup and finish in third place. Caruso moved on Landrigan at the same time and finished fourth and fifth respectively in what was an exciting finish to the race.

SA42 Jamie Hendry’s night didn’t start the way he wished discovering a vibration in the rear end in during hot laps. The team went back into the pits for repair and unfortunately missed time trials which relegated him to the rear of his heats.

“We have to thank the Sunline Speedway management for the great job they did on the night and the improvements they have made over the past 12 months. All the teams had good things to say about the track. Their advertising obviously paid off because they had a fantastic crowd and are talking about next season already.” Searle said.
