First full time assault and $10K richer
All Stars Media posted Wednesday April 20, 2022.
Brad Warren & McClure Racing joined forces at the end of last season and between them decided they would attempt the entire All Star Series. Not only did they complete the full series but they took out the Championship. Team principals Paul & Faye McClure are based in Mildura and have competed with the series for several years with different drivers along the way.
Warren is based in Pakenham but the 7 hour travel distance between them didn’t stop them from gelling together. “I remember Paul telling me at the end of last season that he wanted to do a deal with Brad for this season and from then on they haven’t looked back. Wazza has run with the series off and on when he got the opportunity over the years but this was his first time as a contracted driver. It’s a huge effort to come on-board with a new team, learn how to work together, learn how to be consistent and not to let the pressure get to you. Winning a series is a whole lot different to winning a race, you have to finish all the time and when we run 9 or 10 rounds that’s a whole lot of finishing! But they did just that and picked up $10,000 as the Series Champ.
We have some pretty heavy hitters on our Honours Board and now Brad goes down in the record books as the 2021/22 Champ.” Promoter Searle says.
9 rounds under their belts, 6,000ks or more, 5 months of planning and preparation all came to a head on Good Friday for the Grand Final. The series took the opportunity to congratulate their Drivers and Teams at the end of season Presentation at the traditional Pit Party Presentation on Friday night and with a large crowd in attendance the Awards were presented.
