SA14 Brendan Quinn won his first Flocon Col Beasley Classic at Timmis Speedway Saturday night for RD 2 of the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Series. SA98 Chad Ely came home in 2nd, V40 Rusty Hickman 3rd, V7 Paul Solomon 4th and Keke Falland rounded out the top 5. With windy conditions all day rain rolled in after the Pole Shoot Out was completed but fortunately not enough to cancel the remainder of the night.

The hard working track prep team managed to get the track back so racing could continue. “We cut the laps to 25, dropped the 4 wide hoping that we could get a result and we did. It was fast, and the guys were lapping around the high 11 and low 12 second mark, but it ended up being a great race. Our guys drove to the conditions, and we must thank all of them and the crews that worked so well to make this happen.” Searle told us at the end of the night.

Lap 1 saw V95 Ryan Davis, V11 Chris Solomon, VA9 Jamie Hennessy and VA91 Dan Scott bring on the yellows ending the night for both Davis & Hennessy. Solomon and Scott managed to restart. From around half race distance all eyes were on the charging Paul Solomon who started in P13 and after he found the high line finishing a strong 4th place. Falland, Walker, Newcombe, Loader who had come from the B Main & Chris Solomon all having their own battles for mid pack placings.

Having a terrible night SA96 Brendan Guerin rolled in his second heat. The team battled hard and rebuilt for the B only to have his 2nd roll and earning him the HCC Maxie’s Keep on Trying Award.

“We cannot say enough about how much work the Club at Timmis have completed at the venue. The new lights were brilliant, and it is a credit to them all. They continue to upgrade every time we go there, it really is a pleasure to race there.” Says Searle.
