In front of a packed house at Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway USA99 Carson Macedo became the 14th winner of the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Challenge. The crowd had come with high expectations and weren’t disappointed.

Macedo and Charge lined up on the front row, Haud & Hickman behind. Going 3 wide into T1 Macedo came out in front. Haudenschild was the first car to bring the yellows on after only 4 laps after hitting the wall and knocking out his read end. Local track hero John Vogels went for a wild ride along the back straight, Vogels walked away but the car had too much damage and his night was done.

A couple of laps later young American gasser Kalib Henry also bought on the reds in T3 ending his night. Hickman, Charge, Hallett, McHugh & Veal were fighting for track positions while Ely, Milburn, Peck, Randall & Chris Solomon were also all putting on a show for the crowd. At the chequers it was Macedo, Hickman, Hallett, Charge and McHugh rounded out the top 5.

SA14 Brendan Quinn who went into the night leading the Championship points had a horror night flipping twice. Quinn was unhurt but the chassis was not as lucky. Originally starting in P8 of the C Main D26 Todd Moule ran the alphabet to finish 12th in the A which naturally won him the Transport Equipment Hire Hard Charger for the night.

“It was an awesome night overall for us, the weather was perfect, we had a great car count, as always with this show they got to watch some nail biting racing. At these big shows everyone has highs and lows, they all have their own stories to tell, and we have to thank every single team that competed with us. The flies were back in force, and we got to share them with our overseas visitors.” Searle says.
